Our on-site Bush Kindy offers tamariki a unique outdoor classroom where the natural world becomes their playground. From soil to sky, children plant, explore, and harvest — while learning about life cycles, ecosystems, and sustainability.
It is a space where children invent games, take age-appropriate risks, climb, build, and create. We believe that when children are invited to explore freely and safely, they develop confidence, resilience, and joy in discovery.
Why it matters
In a screen-filled world, children often lose touch with the immediate plants, insects, birds and native life around them. As author Richard Louv says, “Vitamin N” (for Nature) is vital. Our special programme gives tamariki that boost — helping them grow smarter, healthier and happier.
