Preschool 3.5years-School
Thriving through discovery. Our Preschool room is designed for children who are developing independence, confidence and a love of learning as they prepare for their next big step.
Our Approach
Our Preschool room provides tamariki with rich, meaningful opportunities to explore, question, and grow as confident learners. This is where early foundations evolve into deeper inquiry through imaginative play, storytelling, creative expression, and hands-on discovery.
Kaiako plan purposeful experiences that extend curiosity, strengthen problem-solving, and encourage collaboration. We focus on holistic development, nurturing each child’s cognitive, emotional, physical, and social growth in a way that is playful and empowering.
Children are encouraged to take responsibility for their learning, develop resilience, and express their unique voices through exploration, creativity, and connection.

Partnering with Whānau
Whānau are valued partners in every child’s learning journey. We welcome collaboration, feedback, and sharing of your aspirations and cultural knowledge. Kaiako regularly share learning stories, updates, and photos, keeping families informed and involved in the learning process.
As tamariki near school age, we work closely with parents and local schools to support smooth, confident transitions, ensuring each child leaves The Village with a strong sense of identity, belonging, and readiness for their next chapter.
