Explorers (Toddlers 2-3.5years)
Curious minds, busy hands, and endless adventure.
Our Explorers room is designed for toddlers who are ready to move, climb, investigate, and connect with the world around them.
Learning through exploration
Every day in Explorers is filled with play, discovery, and growing independence. Our nature-inspired space encourages physical challenge and imaginative play in equal measure.
Tamariki are supported to make choices, express themselves, and build relationships through play. Our kaiako recognise that this stage is full of growth and change, and we guide children toward independence and confidence at their own pace.
Empowering daily routines
Even simple routines become learning opportunities. Toddlers are encouraged to take part in dressing, toileting, serving kai, and tidying — learning responsibility, self-help skills, and mana motuhake (independence). These unhurried, respectful moments help tamariki develop belonging and pride in their achievements.
Social connection and communication
We nurture communication through conversation, stories, and song. Kaiako model positive language and empathy, supporting tamariki to express their feelings, share ideas, and build friendships.
Partnership with whānau
We work closely with families to ensure continuity between home and preschool life. Through photos, learning stories, and open kōrero, we celebrate milestones and collaborate on your child’s next steps in learning.
